Your Second Visit to Our Tucker Chiropractic Practice

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you.
The Doctor's Report of Findings

After the doctor studies your health history and correlates the examination and x-ray findings, he will make recommendations designed to help you regain and keep your health. We call this the Report of Findings and its purpose is three-fold:

  • Reduces the length of your first visit

  • Gives us time to correlate our findings

  • Avoids overloading you with too much information

On your report visit, we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you. This is scheduled once per week on Monday nights at 6:00pm, after office hours, to allow the doctor to devote enough time to properly review your case and his findings. During this report, he will show you your x-rays and explain to you in detail what he sees and just how he can help your situation. The doctor will review your treatment options: each option will be presented with how long treatment will be and how much it will cost.  Because there is a great deal of information relayed regarding your personal health situation, we highly encourage your spouse or significant other to attend the Doctor’s Report of Findings with you.

First Adjustment

If you have never been adjusted before, the staff will explain to you how to lie on the specially-designed tables. Take a few deep breaths in and out and relax. Dr. Shapiro is on his way to answer all your questions and concerns and tell you what to expect during and after your adjustment. He will even talk to you about home care for pain-relief between visits. The purpose of this adjustment is to mobilize “locked-up” areas, to relieve spasms and to begin the healing process.

Your second visit and subsequent visits will take approximately 15 minutes. But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up what your spine and nervous system are requiring, adjust you and get you on your way. Remember, our wait times are almost non-existent, as we value your time.

Dr. Shapiro Asks some important questions of interest to Atlanta residents - Chiropractor Atlanta Dr. Shapiro Asks...

What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
Where do most Atlanta residents get their first subluxation?
Being born in a hospital is a common source of subluxation. Trauma from forceps delivery has been replaced with drugs, vacuum extraction, Cesarean section and births that are "scheduled" to fit the workweek routines of Ob-Gyns. That's why we recommend a chiropractic checkup for every Atlanta newborn.
